For centuries, the Maroons of Suriname’s rainforest have lived beyond the reach of capitalist society. As economic interests encroach on their land and climate change disrupts their way of life, Monikondee (Money Land) follows Boogie, a boatman navigating the border river between Suriname and French Guiana.
