An exploration of the dreamlike world of Valencian painter José Segrelles (1885–1969), whose prolific body of over 5,000 works has left a lasting influence on contemporary artists. Achieving international recognition as early as the 1920s and 1930s, his illustrations were widely published in books, magazines, and newspapers. Segrelles also produced commercial posters for companies such as Ford and developed a distinctive body of sports posters, notably for Fútbol Club Barcelona.
Through reflections from renowned artists including Guillermo del Toro, John Howe, and William Stout, the film situates Segrelles’ work within a broader artistic and cultural legacy, highlighting the universality and enduring relevance of his vision.
